An Icy World.

16 Jan 2012

It may have been an unusually mild winter in London – but one attraction has been exceptionally cool – with the arrival of the 4th Ice Sculpting festival

Creative artists from around the globe turned Canary Wharf, into a world of ice sculptures. The eight teams, who came from Britain, France, Belgium, Hungary, Portugal, Sweden, Bulgaria and Africa, competed to turn blocks of ice into the most stunning ice art as they could. The sculptors spent two days completing their impressive work, featuring the theme Winter Sports.

Portugal emerged triumphant in the main competition and the UK won the people’s choice award and the speed sculpting.
