Boating industry shows signs of recovery at this year's annual show.

The Excel Centre’s once again been home to the London Boat Show. Currently in it’s fifty-eighth year, footfall has decreased in recent times but customers and excited punters still flocked to see this year’s latest trends.

Sales of luxury yachts are fairly insulated from recent economic woes but the middle market hasn’t proved as successful. Top UK manufacturers Fairline and Princess told us how they’ve fared in recent years.

Floor space for boats at the event has receded and more luxury lifestyle goods and high-end products are now on show. The second-hand boat market has seen a resurgence and a dedicated marina was placed next to the main exhibition hall. UK Brokerage company Yachtsworld.com told Finsbury Online how the market for second-hand boats has risen since the recession.
